Each elementary school with more than 21 English learners must form an English Learner Advisory Committee. The purpose of the ELAC is to advise the principal and school staff on programs and services for English learners. The committee will meet four times each year. Our first meeting will be on October 16 at 8:30 a.m. in the library. Our population of students who are learning English is increasing every year. Please come and help. We really want and need your input.
Comité Consejero de Estudiantes Aprendiendo Inglés
Cada escuela con 21 o más estudiantes aprendiendo inglés debe formar un Comité Consejero de Estudiantes Aprendiendo Inglés. El propósito del comité consejero (ELAC por las siglas en inglés) es el de aconsejar al director/a y el personal de la escuela acerca de los programas y servicios para estudiantes aprendiendo inglés (EL por las siglas en inglés). El ELAC juntará por lo menos 4 veces cada año escolar. La primera junta del ELAC tendrá lugar el 14 de octubre en la biblioteca a las 8:45 am. Nosotros necesitamos su ayuda. Vengan por favor.
